STAR NEWS

Corporate Identity and Tagline
Starnews Credit Union was looking to shift their identity into a zone that positioned them as 'the financial institution of choice'. The credit union offers all the products and services of the big banks, plus the added advantage of being closed bond - which means they understand their members and their members' needs better than anyone else.

We developed a logo that focused on the role MASS INSURANCE plays - bringing the insurance brokerage to the end user. We brought forward the word "Insurance" to quickly identify the nature of their business and gave the logo prominence by placing it above the wordmark like a crown.

For the positioning line we determined there are really only two things anyone wants from their insurance company - great rates and great service. We developed the line "Big Savings. Big Service." in a way that only "MASS" can say it.

We developed a logo and wordmark that illustrates their product base, with the "h" in TASH "clicking" on a large dome shaped computer button, their biggest selling product. "Solutions that click" was the perfect positioning line for a company that develops products based on their distinctive tactile and auditory feedback and their ability to help users reach an end goal.

We developed a logo that focused on the "solution" aspect of the company. Using the "ping" moving through the maze of computer information (pixels), to illustrate the nature of their work, as well as their focus on finding solutions. The positioning line "we make it work" was developed around the idea that the target market (companies that do not have an internal IT Department) would not be interested in IT specifics or language, it was more pressing to them to find a company who would just come in and get their IT working.

We developed a logo using a font with smooth and flowing lines. We wanted the wordmark to appear calming yet not too feminine, so as not to deter male clients. We selected an earthy colour palette that was soothing, yet uplifting and used the dynamic position of the swooping dove to make it appear more active than passive. The tagline "be strong. live long. feel great." is inspirational to both men and women and is designed to represent a challenge and inspire action.

We developed a simple logo that identifies their place in the high tech industry. A wordmark was created using a tech style font specially customized for Baknor. Hot "computer green" was used to add energy. The tagline, "Worldwide Solutions. Locally." identifies their global partners while highlighting the benefit of having a local supplier.

We developed an edgy, playful logo that makes a bold statement. Using white on black to make it pop. The font used for the wordmark is somewhat rough and retro, it has a cool, punchy feel that speaks to the industry they represent.

We developed a logo based on the race bib athletes wear during competition. It remains a constant throughout the sport as a recognized icon in run and bike races. The tagline "IM Motivated!" is a call out to people to make a commitment and be part of it. It is designed to encourage people to rally together through training in groups for support, as well as to bring out their competitive nature.

We developed a logo using the "M" as the focal point acting as affirmation of their devotion to member service. A circular centre exhibits balanced stability - an expression of unending dedication and perseverance in the industry. The umbrella shaped arc at the top of the symbol conveys the safe, forward moving and upward direction of member prosperity. Combined, the three elements are emblematic of the innovative, yet warmhearted human nature of MemberOne.

We developed a logo inspired by the name of the Credit Union and the longevity of their business. The distinctive symbol of the tree is the focal point of the corporate mark and serves to affirm their devotion to growth and community roots. The double arc conveys the partnership between the member and the Credit Union. The buildings gives a sense of a strong foundation. All elements together are emblematic of their renewed spirit, working hand in hand with the aspirational line "Grow Forward With Us" signaling positive change and the promise of a bright future.

A streamlined, professional and solid logo was created, which allows Starnews to stand level with other financial institutions, yet maintain a unique look. It reflects the personality of the financial institution and speaks to what the credit union can do for the individual member.

Using the "S" in "Starnews" to signify a forward moving path, we speak of the partnership between credit union and member, and signify "guidance" and the journey the member is on. We use the graphic element of the star, not only to resonate with the name "Starnews", but also to define what members are striving for.

This is reaffirmed through the positioning line, "Reach a higher goal.", which is a promise from the credit union to the individual member, that no matter what their goals are, the credit union will be there to help them along the way.
